Celebrate the release of new punk/K-pop queer romance novel, ZeroWave, at Page & Panel in the Toronto Reference Library with a reading by author Chris Eng and maybe some K-pop talk. Okay, probably some K-pop talk. Look, he talks about K-pop a lot – we can pretty much guarantee some K-pop talk. Anyway, join him, won’t you?

Kettle’s got a lot on her mind. There’s the usual – stupid stuff at home, crappy job, even crappier boyfriend, and then there’s a couple of other things, too. Like the realization that she’s not so into that four-chord, two-minute, hard-driving punk scene, and that just maybe 12 really pretty boys as they sing some pretty shiny pop is more her thing. And maybe – just maybe – that the hot girl with the tattoos and the pretty shiny life might just be more her thing, too.

ZeroWave, the second Hoodieripper punk romance from writer Chris Eng, is set against the dueling, fervent fandoms of DIY punk and the glossy, complicated world of K-Pop. A sexy, thoughtful love letter to being an outsider in a scene of outsiders, ZeroWave is about finding the courage to find yourself – and your ultimate bias.
