And one more ‘community’ event listing, as our friend Mariko Tamaki will be in town on September 22nd discussing her brand new novel. Maybe if enough comic people go, we can pepper her with questions about another graphic novel…? ð

Impossible Words is a new and innovative reading series, featuring a wide range of Canadian authors representing the diversity of our city, our province, and our country.
On September 22nd, we are very pleased to host graphic novelist and young adult author Mariko Tamaki, who will be discussing her brand new novel (You) Set Me On Fire.

Tamaki will be joined by Jenna Anne Kennedy and Krystle McKenzie, two young writers from the Toronto Street Writers, a celebrated local writing group for youth. After the featured reading, the youth will interview the author about their experiences and work. Audience members are also invited to join the discussion. The event will end with an open mic (interested readers must sign up at the beginning of the event). A light lunch will also be served, giving time for audience members to mingle.
We encourage everyone to come and participate, especially those who do not usually go to literary events!
