Hey Beguiling customers,
We’ve been tipped off to two cool new arts events occurring tomorrow night, and we think both would be of interest to you. One of them is Right Next Door at Honest Ed’s, and the other is a superhero comic book themed event happening at Queen and Ossington. They’re both interesting mixes of art and commerce, both quite uniquely Torontonian.

RAW’strip on Ossington
“Provocative graphic commentary about Toronto’s shifting streetscape”
Thursday June 21st @ 6pm, 109 Ossington.
RSVP Required. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
“From comic book superheroes to city skylines, RAW’strip provides colourful commentary on Toronto’s intense transformation. The who’s who of Toronto’s architecture, design and development communities are invited to immerse themselves June 21 in a custom built environment celebrating the city and urban culture they collectively create.”
– Graphic illustrators have produced an immersive pictorial commentary on the creative process behind the city’s shifting landscape.
– Custom panoramic DJ booth and a staircase which will allow guests to descend into a cartoon campground complete with a 30 ft tall video projection.
– Glow in the dark cotton candy and fire pits for roasting oversized marshmallows
“Summer Special, the latest project in the Koffler Gallery Off-Site series, takes its inspiration from the trademark signs and show bills of Honest Ed’s, Toronto’s landmark discount store. Building upon the store’s tradition of craftsmanship, Toronto artists Corinne Carlson, Robin Collyer, Barr Gilmore, Jen Hutton, Sarah Lazarovic and Vancouver-based Ron Terada create new works that explore the visual vocabulary of commercial and urban signage, infiltrating the iconic building and its façade with site-specific installations.”
– Looks to be amazing.
