On Wednesday, July 17th at 7PM we’re thrilled to welcome artist KAGAN MCLEOD to the store to celebrate the release of his new book DRAW PEOPLE EVERY DAY from Watson-Guptill!
To mark the occasion, Kagan will be holding an in-store live drawing demonstration!!! We’ll have lots of copies of his new book to get signed as well to make the evening even better!

OLD GROWTH PRESS PRESENTS…
Our second summer launch! Join us at the Beguiling as we present to you the work of Misbah Ahmed (Five Minutes in Karachi), Natalie Mark 麥月明 (From Yesterday) and Riley J. Piñeros (What They Don’t Know).
We will be hosting a zine-making workshop led by Rabeea Syed (https://rabeeasyed.com/) before the launch begins. This workshop is FREE of charge and all materials will be provided. Feel free to bring in a current project or make something brand new!
All three books as well as our artists’ other work will be available for sale (both cash and credit accepted). We will also be having a raffle to win all three of the publications, so arrive early to be sure you get a ticket!

Yup, it’s just what it says, all of our manga is offsite with us at another exciting year at ANIME NORTH! As such, we won’t have any of our manga available for purchase at the store this weekend but we will have TONS at Anime North so come see us there!
As well, we took all of the tables from our back issue basement to use at the convention, so while our basement is open it’s a little bit worse for wear. We apologize for the mess but it was either close it down or have it operate a little messily so we opted for the latter!

This all-ages event will kick off at Noon in The Beguiling’s gallery space with readings, activity sheets for kids, a chance to get your books signed and lots more fun to come for all-ages!
